Compose Preview has an error in the latest version

Problem:
The UI Preview (Compose/XML) is completely broken in the latest version. Even a clean, new project fails to render.
This was working perfectly in the previous version.

Critical Context for Developers:
​This feature was working perfectly in the previous build. The issue only started appearing after the most recent update.
​Android 16 Compatibility: I am running this on Android 16 (API 36). It seems the rendering engine (LayoutLib) might be using APIs that are modified or restricted in this new Android version, causing the #SV (SurfaceView) initialization to fail.
