Codeman 1.35.0 is out. You get a git status indicator in the bottom bar, tab groups you can edit right in the vertical rail, a Diagnostics page in Settings and new cases in any folder you like. There's also a fix for something nasty: a network mount that stopped answering could freeze the whole server.
See what your agents haven't committed yet. Agents leave work uncommitted and unpushed all the time. Turn on Settings, Header & Panels, Bottom bar, Git status, and a small indicator shows the active session's repo at a glance:
● 3for uncommitted files,↑ 2for commits that aren't pushed,✓when it's all committed and pushed. Click it and a panel lists the exact files (click one to see its diff) and the unpushed commits. If the session's folder holds several projects, each repo gets its own section. It's read-only and offline, so Codeman never fetches or changes anything in the repo. Thanks @opticon454, I think this one is going to get a lot of use.Edit tab groups right in the rail. Last release the vertical rail learned to show tab groups, and now you can make and change them without touching the API. Pick "Move to new group" from a row's ⋯ menu to start one. From a group's header menu you can rename it (F2 works too), move it up or down, or delete it, and tabs move between groups from their own menu or by dragging. Edits save one at a time and survive a reload, and if another device changes the groups at the same moment, both changes are kept. Renaming a tab inline got sturdier as well: two quick renames can't race each other anymore, and a long
w3-projectprefix stays inside its row while you type. Thanks @aakhter for both.Diagnostics in Settings. Settings, System, Diagnostics runs
codeman doctoron the server and shows which agent CLIs, tmux, Node and the optional office tools are installed, with versions, paths and how to install whatever is missing. It also looks in each CLI's usual install folders now, so a CLI that the service's PATH can't see still shows up. That one's from @opticon454 too.Create a case in any folder. Add Case, Create New has a "Create in a custom folder" option with a Browse button, so a new case can live next to your other projects instead of under
~/codeman-cases. It gets set up like any other case, and removing it from Codeman only unlinks it, your files stay where they are.POST /api/casestakes apathfor the same thing. Also @opticon454.A dead network mount no longer freezes Codeman. If a linked case lived on a network mount that went away, a single file check could hang the entire server. Checks on folders you picked are bounded now: a mount that doesn't answer ties up one background worker while everything else keeps working, and Codeman tells you the folder isn't answering instead of acting like it doesn't exist. Thanks @aakhter.
