If the plate solver is switched after a reduction, using the same target, and an additional frame is excluded in the Image Analysis tab, the plate solve routine doesn't recognize the additional excluded frame and still tries to solve the originally solved frame. Read FITS Header has to be clicked for that to happen. Make plate solve button re-check for new excluded images
