@BYU-CS-Discord/coders I shouldn't be the one to approve this one, since it needed considerable tweaking.

This would also fix #536.

I went ahead and removed eslint-plugin-import for now, since it seems their eslint 10.x update will be Hard™. Comments in import-js/eslint-plugin-import#3227 suggest eslint-plugin-import-x, but since it is a relatively new fork from some unclear point in its upstream's history, and the maintainer's use of Claude (that GitHub calls out for me but refuses to say which commits 😕), using that as a drop-in should only come after a thorough audit IMO.

We can self-enforce against default imports and exports ourselves for the time being.

A newer version of eslint exists, but since this PR has been edited by someone other than Dependabot I haven't updated it. You'll get a PR for the updated version as normal once this PR is merged.
