- draft
- pending
- published
- rejected
- archived

- Public endpoints only return published listings
- Maintainers can see submission state

UPDATE: Perhaps any project could be published, but with a “Verification Pending” or “Unverified” tag. Once the project is submitted (added to the directory), the maintainer would review and “verify” it, accepting it once verified. Once accepted, the project would receive the “verified” badge.
In the future, a “community review” system could be implemented to prevent our maintainer from being overwhelmed with projects to review. For example, a “voting” system could allow users to vote on the authenticity of a project.
