CLI broadcasts wierd characters to other tmux windows

I use tmux and when I open freebuff in one of the windows, all other windows have wierd charaters. I have no idea why this is and it seems to be happening only in tmux. When I run freebuff, it leaves that window that it is opened and go to the previous window and then show this characters in the input waiting to be entered.

These are your terminal's replies to queries that freebuff sends at start. freebuff sends them through tmux passthrough, and the terminal sends each reply to the visible pane.

I think that your tmux config has allow-passthrough all, which also lets hidden panes send passthrough. Change it to on:

tmux show -gp allow-passthrough
tmux set -gp allow-passthrough on

I did not reproduce the leak. I read the OpenTUI code and the tmux man page.

I don't think that's the problem, pass through is set to on and not all.

You are right. My first guess was wrong.

freebuff uses OpenTUI 0.3.4. In tmux, it sends startup queries through passthrough, and the replies go to the active window. OpenTUI fixed this in v0.5.13 (anomalyco/opentui#1460). freebuff must update OpenTUI.

Until then, tmux set -g allow-passthrough off can stop the leak. I did not test this.
