Is get_pmcodes() subject to NWIS decomissioning?

Because it exists within the nwis.py file, importing the get_pmcodes() function brings along the warning about NWIS decomissioning. As the URL for the pmcodes points to just the generic waterdata.usgs.gov website URL without the /nwis/ bit, am I right in assuming this function / URL end point will continue to exist?

The urls used by get_pmcodes() are subject to the decommissioning effort and will be taken down early in 2026. We are transitioning to the following reference table: https://api.waterdata.usgs.gov/ogcapi/v0/collections/parameter-codes
