Cannot install Duo 1.5.6

I get this error when trying to install Duo. I've disabled all Windows Security features including Core isolation features and I still get this error.

I hit the same issue, Duo was working find the whole week but today it stopped working. Tried a lot of things to try to get it working again and tried to uninstalled and re-install and hit this same error.

Difficult to say what exactly is causing this, but my guess is you're running into a file lock caused by the verifier module in 1.5.6.

Try this and report back if it solves your issue:

1. Stop the Duo service
2. Disable Process Patching in the Manager UI
3. Start the Duo service
4. Stop the Duo service
5. Reboot the computer

This doesn't help as I don't have Duo installed. This started when I uninstalled Duo a while ago and wanted to install it again. I tried installing Duo 1.5.7 and still having the same issue.

I'm getting this issue as well for installing 1.5.7.

SOLUTION:
To resolve it, I had to run duo.exe setup with admin rights.

The issue appears to be lack of access to the /programfiles directory (also, why cant we change the installation directory?)
