Sunshine not running (greyed out, just like the Pair client button)

For the past year I've always tried new releases of Duo to see if it finally works on my PC, but I always have the same problem that it installs fine and throws no errors but the Sunshine & Pair Client buttons stay greyed out... The same goes for 1.5.7, no matter what I try.

Seems to be the same problem as: #290 (comment)

I'm currently running:

Another strange thing: when I click "Stop instance" or "Stop" everything, it does nothing and just stays on "Stopping Duo..." without ever succeeding (only when I end the task "Duo Service" in Task Manager, it will succeed).

Sounds like a terminal server issue if it can't cleanly shutdown.

Please export your application event log and attach it to this thread so we can take a look at what's going on.

Having the same issue on 25H2 Build 26200.8246. Tried both Duo 1.5.6 and 1.5.7.

with 1.5.6 i rolled back to W11 23H2 and it worked, havent tried 24H2 yet

25H2 Windows 11 Build 26200.8246. helped installing version 1.5.3 - the installer of that version turned on some windows settings that were off. then i updated to 1.5.7 and reinstalled sunshine. Not sure what helped but now it works

I encountered this error earlier today (Options greyed out), but I had created a local account that wasn't an Administrator.
After changing the account type to Administrator, it started up normally. Don't know if it will help

I'm having the same issue as well ever since updating Windows and attempting to upgrade to Duo 1.5.7.

It presents in the exact same way as @jorbig mentions in the first post, and I also have the same bluetooth/rds failure event log errors mentioned by @tyw214 in issue #487. I never had the offending update installed which broke 1.5.6, and everything was working fine until this weekend. Not sure, but I think a Windows update finally snuck through and broke 1.5.6 for me so I figured it was the time to take advantage of 1.5.7's new features and compatibility with current Windows updates.

Here's my event log of me starting Duo service (at 8:58:28), starting an instance, attempting to stop the instance (it doesn't stop), attempting to stop Duo (it doesn't stop), and then finally ending the Duo Service task (at 9:00:00):

Hey, I got discord, will send a dm soon. Mine is kinda different, Duo boot with windows fine, but moonlight connection has firewall issues, and once I try to connect, duo sunshine grey out, rebooting duo not help.

I see am having the same issue, installs fine, but "Pair New Client" is greyed out, "sunshine isn't running" on hover over.
Using 1.5.7.
