This Arduino core is still far more superior to the one STMduino has if I am using STM32WB chips. Is there any chance of an update of this core? I would like to see more BLE functionality, such as performing scans, etc. But there is no contributions for almost a year now here, any chance of continuing this great work?

There should be an update soon adding OTA.

Working on adding the central/master part to BLE right now.
