I installed the Ubuntu APT package on my 25.10 system. I have FFmpeg installed from the APT repo too, but things aren't working. I can't figure out how to configure the codecs. Maybe I'm being a dumb Linux noob here, but can someone explain?

I think I tracked this down to a version mismatch with the project using an old version of FFmpeg. Is this correct? I have a version 8 build of FFmpeg installed.

Yes unfortunately FFmpeg 8 is not supported yet.
