New feature release

• DirectX native driver
• no DLL replacement
• HAL: DDI 8
• (Wine fully optional)
• SVGA: stable memory allocation
• MESA: revert to Mesa 23.1.9 as most stable
• Wine: DLLs are now hot patched (allow to use Wine without ddraw/d3d8/d3d9.dll replace)

Note: althought this preview of beta line, it should be more stable than previous release, when works. Fixes lots of DX6 and DX7 bugs, but also creates brand new problems.

Great release. Understandably a bit buggy at this point (tested in GTA III, Mortyr and some niche games), but nonetheless great.

Yep, TD6 is broken, but works in Wine (add this to registry):

Will it still use native hal in this mode or not?

No, this 'll use wrapper (but performance shouldn't be much lower)

@JHRobotics I have one suggestion: can you do automatic builds here on Github in order for me to download the latest code every time it is updated (in the same manner both DOSBox-X and 86Box use)?

Also, can you try to fix the low FPS in Spider-Man (2001) that was also reported on the git issues page? I'd love to see it running at full speed

I also noticed that fogging doesn't seem to work, or if it does, I'm not sure how to enable it.

• broken menus are caused by different vertex snaping (DX vs. Mesa), I know about it, but since it is only graphical bug, it has low priority for me.
• Low FPS: it is global problem with VMware Svga3D driver (when driver isn't completed, it doesn't make sense fixing individual games)
• SoF 1 - the game is broken (lots of Q2 work better with Glide, resp. with OpenGL (1.0) -> Glide -> OpenGL (2.1+), but SoF not)
• SoF 2 - should works now :-)
• Automatical build: not yet, lots of changes is still breaking things, API between components isn't stable and releases needs testing before goes out

So these bugs cannot be fixed in any way?
