Hi,
I find multiMiR to be extremely useful for one of my large microRNA regulatory projects. I was wondering what does a 'negative' interaction as noted under 'support_type' mean? Does it carry the biological meaning which indicates that the miRNA acts as a repressor for the target gene? Or does it carry a technical meaning which may indicate something else? For the 2nd question, it is also important to note that there weren't any 'positive' interactions that I could find for any miRNA which I queried.
This clarification is critical as it would mean a world of difference for downstream biology.
Please let me know.
With thanks,
Sandeep
