The documentation describes the current SightAdapt implementation, public product identity and maintainer-owned release controls.
- Product identity and brand usage — canonical name,
™notation, descriptions, publisher attribution, intended purpose, compatibility wording, website URL and asset rules. - Intended purpose and medical-device claims policy — permanent general-purpose/non-medical scope, prohibited claims, terminology and maintainer review triggers.
- Third-party names, affiliation and protected-content policy — identification-only mark use, neutral compatibility wording, lack of endorsement, asset restrictions and DRM limitations.
- Maintainer release-risk review — evidence package, internal risk decisions, decision record and re-review triggers.
- Maintainer release-review template — repository-safe internal decision record tied to exact release bytes.
- Patent-risk review — technical feature map, public-source review, scope controls and risk-acceptance triggers.
- Internal trademark-risk decision — public-source findings, medium-high risk acceptance, monitoring and rename triggers.
- Release naming and attribution — release title, tag, artifact, website, publisher, claims, compatibility and mark conventions.
- Release history — retained public versions, immutable tags, authoritative release links and withdrawal state.
- GitHub Release checklist — CI, manual smoke, immutability, hashes and publication gates.
- Binary packaging standard — required legal files, generated notices, SBOM, final compliance gate and distribution-format rules.
- Release compliance gate — staged-directory/final-package verification, negative tests and retained compliance report.
- Microsoft .NET redistribution analysis — Microsoft-origin inventory, applicable sources, maintainer decision, generated package notice and review triggers.
- Reviewed .NET redistribution configuration — exact SDK/runtime/TFM/RID/publish scope, template checksum and maintainer decision.
- Reviewed .NET redistribution notice template — package wording rendered with canonical release metadata.
- Exact-version .NET notice generation — pinned inputs, official package verification, imported notices, checksums and update triggers.
- SBOM and dependency-license review — SPDX inventory, license policy, generated reports and release failure rules.
- Contribution provenance and historical review — DCO adoption, employer/AI/third-party rules, history review and maintainer process.
- Contribution exceptions — public records for exceptional permission and bot decisions.
