We recently discovered that files deleted from Documents in a Dataverse environment that is synced with SharePoint are permanently deleted. We opened a support case with Microsoft and according to Microsoft support, there is an orgdbsetting setting called SharepointEnableFileRecycle that they were able to set for us that ensures that documents deleted on the Dataverse side are sent to the SharePoint Recycle bin.
Are there some orgdbsetting options that your tool is not allowed to access?
