A quick glance at https://github.com/mmwillet/TTS.cpp shows that the last commit happened years ago and there's just 7 contributors who either died or lost interest. It's not happening, TTS.cpp is functionally bankrupt and finished.
https://github.com/0xShug0/audio.cpp had plenty of new commits hours ago, a new release an hour ago and there appears to be a whole lot of active contributors. Furthermore, there's support for plenty of TTS models including MagpieTTS which there is an open request for at #2390
There is also a webui for it available.
It's C++, but that does of course not mean that it can be added within minutes. It may be a lot of work. However, it does seem like the much better path forward since it's actively developed and moving forward while TTS.cpp is deceased.
