Open Settings from the menu bar: Settings → Preferences
Controls how hard the tool works to compress your file.

Default is Normal — good balance for most people.
When enabled, OpenROM runs a checksum verification after every CHD conversion using chdman verify.
Should I enable it?
- Yes if you're archiving and want to be sure
- Skip it if you're converting a lot of files and trust your storage
Default is ON — keep it on unless you're in a hurry.
By default OpenROM uses the bundled tools in assets/.
Only change these if:
- You want to use a newer version of chdman/maxcso/etc
- A bundled tool isn't working on your system
Leave them blank to use the bundled versions.
Logs are saved automatically to:

Useful for debugging failed conversions.
