Automatic installation with Btrfs ends in GRUB rescue (@boot/subvolume error) #12

Description

@SwiatLinuksa

SkillFishOS version

26.06 Aetherium

Hardware

AMD BC-250

Kernel flavor

7.0.11-skillfishos (BC-250 main)

Affected area

ISO / Calamares installer

What happened?

During a clean installation using the default automatic partitioning with Btrfs, the installation finishes successfully, but the system does not boot.

Instead of starting SkillFishOS, the machine enters GRUB rescue with an error related to the Btrfs @boot (subvolume not found).

I reproduced this multiple times.

The same installation using the default automatic partitioning with ext4 boots correctly.

This appears to affect only the automatic Btrfs installation.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Boot the SkillFishOS installer.
  2. Select Automatic installation.
  3. Leave the default filesystem as Btrfs.
  4. Finish the installation.
  5. Reboot.

Result:
The system enters GRUB rescue instead of booting.

Repeating the installation with ext4 works correctly.

Logs / output

GRUB rescue reports an error related to the Btrfs @boot subvolume during boot.

Unfortunately I do not have the exact Italian error message anymore because I switched to ext4 to continue testing.
