Map not responding to clicks

Description

1. Clicking on a feature does not open the preview form — editing unavailable on Windows desktop app

• When using the Mergin Maps Windows desktop application, clicking on a newly recorded feature or an existing feature does not open the feature preview form. As a result, the user is unable to access the edit option for that feature.

2. New feature cannot be saved — feature does not appear on the map after clicking Save

• When recording a new feature in the Mergin Maps Windows desktop application, the feature cannot be saved. After filling in the feature attributes and clicking the Save button, the feature does not appear on the map and is not stored. No error or warning message is displayed to the user.

I was not able to replicate this issue on Windows 11 x86 device. It was fresh install of 2026.1.2 (should be the same as 2026.1.2-RC4).

Re-tested on Win Mergin Maps App: 2026.2.0 - win (57901)
The issue still persist.

Key points:

1. Affects the Windows desktop version of the Mergin Maps app.
2. The Save button is clickable but has no effect — the feature is not persisted.
3. The newly recorded feature does not appear on the map after attempting to save.
4. No feedback is given to the user (no error, no confirmation, no indication of failure).
5. The issue was reproduced after changing the project and restarting the application — the problem persists across sessions and is not resolved by a restart.
