Campaign map: Gateway deep modules & Codex↔Chat #441

Description

@NOirBRight

Notes

Campaign: Gateway Deep Modules & Codex↔Chat Bridge.
Label: campaign:gateway-chat.
No version number until the standard Chat floor is green.

Two tracks after this map exists:

  • Track 0 — finish the already-started 0.1.9 Provider Injection / DSH campaign. Client migrations do not block Python module extraction.
  • Track 1 — extract deep modules from codex_proxy.py and deepen protocol_translation.py so Codex Responses can ride third-party Chat Completions without a second adapter.

Hard gates only:

  1. This tracker rewrite (WP0).
  2. Cleanup: remove unused Level-3 dynamic-DAG subagent machinery from production path #414 before Refactor: extract route-plan and SSE helper clusters from codex_proxy.py monolith #413, so dead Level-3 DAG names are not frozen into the facade.
  3. 0.1.8 Beta6: Generate the runtime-derived Chat and Collaboration V2 conversion matrix #660.1.8 Beta6: Define the real Codex-to-Chat runtime-field and V2 item contract #253/0.1.8 Beta6: Define progressive Chat and Collaboration V2 streaming #254 before protocol-interface behavior.
  4. Standard Chat floor before Collaboration V2.

codex_proxy.py stays the process entry and re-export facade. Extracted modules must not import it. Official passthrough stays unchanged. No hidden Responses / Official / model / Provider fallback.
