Middle click opens/closes 2 tabs instead of 1 on force click

Describe the bug
When "middle click" on links on websites or YouTube, 2 new tabs open instead of 1. Same problem with closing a tab, in my testing about 75% of the time using middle click to close a tab, the function will close 2 tabs next to each other in quick succession.

To Reproduce
Click on any link or close any tab with middle click

Expected behavior
Open only 1 tab/close 1 tab

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: MacOS
• Browser: Safari
• Version: 26.2

Tested a little more, if I initiate the middle click and afterwards LEAVING MY POINTER on the link or tab bars and LEAVING MY FINGER on the trackpad, I can clearly see the function triggering twice

Hey! Thank you for the quick fix, it seems like the tap to click is fixed but force click still have the same issue!
