  • Code style guidelines and linting configuration

  • Pull request template and checklist
  • How to run tests locally
  • How to report bugs
  • Code of Conduct reference

Hi! I’d like to work on this issue.

My plan is to add a root CONTRIBUTING.md that reflects the current repository setup and conventions instead of introducing a generic template. I’ll cover local setup, lint/formatting guidance, Git workflow, local validation steps, bug reporting, and contribution expectations.

I may also include a lightweight .github/pull_request_template.md so the PR guidance in the document is directly reflected in the repository workflow, while keeping the overall change small and documentation-focused.
