I am sure that my feature request has nothing to with third party extensions.
I am using the latest available Paperback version (currently 0.8).
I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.
What type of Apple device is the feature request for?
All device types
Describe the feature
I would like it if the Vertical reading mode had the same options as the Horizontal mode - to be able to switch to single pages with swipe navigation, instead of only being able to scroll.
Feature Motivation
I read a lot of both manga and western comics, whose reading directions are different. It's a hassle for me to have to manually set the reading direction for each book just so that the swipe gestures make sense, if i set the default to left-right i'll have to manually change it for all manga, and the inverse for right-left mode. I like to use the vertical reader with up-down swiping gestures to turn the page because it's agnostic to the reading direction of a book. I can just use the same muscle memory to turn the page for either type of book, and I don't need to manually set the reading mode.
Anything Else?
Example of this reading mode on being used on the android reader Mihon
