I do not think that it is a bug, it is intentional to not set the library (dry run to test if the library exists), but what we could say is that the code logic is sub-optimal.

Hm.. buy why then have out parameters at all ? I mean it might make sense to not return the libraries.. then there should be no way to do it.

THe use case is basically to figure out after native library configuration steps, WHAT will actually be selected at runtime to surface to the user / diagnostics

I think that this area didn’t get fully cleaned up after the LLava -> MTMD rename.
I will review this in the PR that I have open right now.
