Excessive LoRa module Flash Wear with Tx v2.0.15 #5

Description

@GrantKeymer

I know this has been fixed in a later version (v3.6.3), but the source code for that or later versions hasn't been shared in this repo. Therefore I'm posting this issue to make any other independent developers aware of the problem, before their LoRa module flash has worn out.

My calculations show that 12 bytes are being rewritten at the start of each wake-up cycle. Over a day, with 5 minute sleep intervals this adds up to 1440 bytes, which in theory would exceed the stated 200k rewrite cycle limit before 5 months have passed! At that point, the LoRa module may stop working.

If I'm just talking to myself in here, then I won't bother sharing how I fixed this problem. My solution is probably not as elegant as Ravi's, but it gets the job done and will save your LoRa module from wearing out prematurely. Let me know if you'd like to see the details, or if this isn't an appropriate place to make posts like this, then please let me know where I should be posting instead.
