Achievements unobtainable if Steel Mode is enabled

Since most IC2 achievements require 'Better than Iron' (the achievement for obtaining refined iron), they become impossible to get with steel mode on.

Would it be possible to disable the achievement (or replace it with one that requires steel) when the option is enabled?
