Can't decompress Unitypackage

I'm trying to import the waveinstaller unitypackage and I'm getting the error:
Failed to import package with error: Couldn't decompress package

I'm using Unity 2021.3.10f1.
Any idea what can cause this?

We are also having this issue. The UnityPackage is an LFS index file and cannot be resolved correctly. Please help!

there are binary files in the repo

Install git lfs using the installer at https://git-lfs.com/
If you installed it another way run “git lfs install”
If you had a repo already checked out then run “git lfs pull”

That doesn't work either, resolving LFS files fails with:

Error downloading object: Installer/WaveInstaller.unitypackage (0b564af): Smudge error: Error downloading Installer/WaveInstaller.unitypackage (0b564afc36e13cd704c3435dfa68c5236b751e0f6cb9d3af744f05d5901a3a70): batch response: This repository is over its data quota. Workaround:

• Checkout the repository
• Open Unity > Package Manager > + > Add Package from Disk
• In repo, select the package.jsons in this order:
  • VIVE-Wave\com.htc.upm.wave.xrsdk\package.json
  • VIVE-Wave\com.htc.upm.wave.native\package.json
  • VIVE-Wave\com.htc.upm.wave.essence\package.json
• Go to Project Settings > Wave XR > PlayerSettings
  • Configure Dialog > Accept
  • Essence
    • Click Check packages
    • Click Import Feature - Controller Model
• Save Project
