Default background color in Theme Editor does not affect the reader background

YACReader 10.0.0 on Linux, native package.
Changing Viewer → Default background color in Theme Editor does not affect the reader background.
The setting is saved correctly in YACReader.ini:

BACKGROUND_COLOR_10=@variant(...black...)

Info background color changes correctly, but reader background remains white.
This worked in previous versions.

I also recently noticed that in niri everything works correctly: the viewer background color changes as expected. However, in KDE Plasma the issue is present: the viewer background remains white even though the background color is set to black.

Did you try resetting the color in the settings? Using the Clear button. I wonder if it's failing to decode the color and falling back to the default theme color.

Yes, I tried that. I used the Clear button to reset the background color and restarted YACReader, but unfortunately the issue is still there. I’m running it on CachyOS, with YACReader built from the AUR package.

I also tried the Flatpak version, and it behaves the same way.

I did one more test. If I start YACReader with QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=Fusion, the viewer background becomes dark correctly.

With the default KDE Plasma Breeze style, the background stays white.

So it seems to be related to Breeze or KDE Plasma’s Qt integration, not to the saved color value itself.

For me, the issue is basically solved for now, since I can work around it by launching YACReader with QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=Fusion.

And by the way, thank you for the release. Apart from this issue, YACReader 10.0 is a really nice update.

Hmmm, I've seen another issue with KDE recently, I need to see what I need to change to make it work reliably. Thanks for the info!!
