Jpeg XL support?

Hi, I just wanted to see if there were any plans to support JXL format?

To my surprise, the original project seems to have been halted and I ended up here. Is this hub to be considered as the most official continuity of the FreeImage project?

If you know where to find reference implementation and/or sample images, please let me know.

Well, this project is not "official", I mean I could not get any reply from original authors. It's my own attempt to keep FreeImage alive and up-to-date, with all references to the original authors and license.

The official full reference library for JXL is libjxl.

Started working on it in the branch 'plugin-jpegxl'
Simple RGB image loading/saving works. Need to work on more formats, thumbnail, exif, etc...
