Description

After using opencode for a while in a session (multiple tool calls, file edits, git operations), the TUI becomes unresponsive. No new messages appear, no tool calls execute, the UI is frozen. The process closes normally (not stuck), but the TUI is no longer usable — you have to close the terminal or restart opencode to continue.

This happens repeatedly during long sessions, typically after several rounds of tool calls.

Steps to reproduce

1. Start a session with opencode
2. Go through several turns of conversation (file edits, git operations, tool calls)
3. After some time, the assistant stops responding — no new output, no tool execution
4. Closing the terminal / restarting opencode is the only fix

Expected behavior

opencode should remain responsive throughout the session.
