Inviting a new member to an OpenCode Workspace reports success in the UI, but the invitation email is never delivered. The recipient does not yet have an OpenCode account.

This has been reproduced for one email domain. I checked spam and quarantine folders; no invitation email arrived. The email address is intentionally omitted for privacy.

Expected behavior

A successful workspace invitation should send an email containing the invitation/join link.

Actual behavior

The UI reports a successful invitation, but the recipient receives no email and cannot join the workspace.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open an OpenCode Workspace as an admin.
2. Invite a new member with an address not associated with an OpenCode account.
3. Check inbox, spam, and quarantine folders.
4. No invitation email is received.

We're hitting this exact issue as well.

Invitation emails ("You've been invited to join the … workspace on OpenCode") were delivered fine as of May 22, 2026. At some point after that they stopped arriving entirely — across multiple email providers/hosts, not just one domain. Spam/junk folders checked, nothing there. The UI still reports every invite as successful.

Since delivery stopped for all recipient domains at once, it looks like something changed on the sending side (SES identity/suppression?) rather than recipient-side filtering.

Would appreciate a fix — at minimum surfacing the SES send failure in the UI instead of silently swallowing it, so admins know the email didn't go out. Happy to share workspace ID or affected recipient domains privately if that helps debugging.

Did you find a solution? I'm trying to invite out team members, but noticed the e-mails still aren't being sent as of today

I found a workaround.. if the user that you want to invite already has a dedicated opencode account, opencode will automatically add this account to the invited workspace without an email. So you need to do following Steps:

1. Go to your main Account and rename your Workspace to something unique, to prevent confusion later on
2. Your team member that you want to invite needs to create an opencode account.
3. Go to your main Account and add the exact email of the newly created opencode account.
4. The team member needs to logout and login again and then the Workspace should show up in the top left corner
