Phase 2: Functional Expansion (Medium Priority)

Significant capability expansion with moderate complexity

Execution Control

  • Conditional Execution

    • Add support for running scripts only under certain conditions (URL patterns, DOM elements)
    • Add condition editor to UI and condition evaluation logic
    • Include flexible condition data structure
  • Script Execution Indicators

    • Provide visual feedback when scripts are running or have completed
    • Add status indicators to extension icon and popup
    • Include execution history logging

Script Management

  • Script Import/Export
    • Allow users to import and export scripts individually or in bulk
    • Add import/export buttons to UI and implement JSON conversion
    • Include bulk selection interface

Developer Experience

  • Improved Script Editor
    • Enhance the Ace editor with features like autocomplete and parameter hints
    • Configure additional Ace editor plugins and extensions
    • Add improved syntax highlighting

Library Support

  • Additional Library Support
    • Include more libraries beyond jQuery (e.g., Lodash, Moment.js)
    • Add more libraries as web accessible resources
    • Update library selection UI

Phase 3: Advanced Features (Lower Priority)

Sophisticated capabilities with higher implementation complexity

Script Management

  • Script Categories and Tags

    • Enable users to categorize and tag scripts for better organization

Implementation Timeline 📅

Estimated Development Time

  • Phase 1: Core Enhancements - 3-4 months
  • Phase 2: Functional Expansion - 4-5 months
  • Phase 3: Advanced Features - 5-6 months
  • Phase 4: Community and Ecosystem - 6-9 months
