From 343199cc02fff57d6939404f9627d09776546bd6 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: gongzhongqiang Date: Sun, 18 Oct 2026 23:18:18 +0800 Subject: [PATCH] docs(release): correct the project description in the announcement The announcement template described Apache Fesod as a "distributed transaction solution", which is copy-pasted from another Apache project. Release managers copy this block verbatim into the announcement mail, so the wrong description would be sent to announce@apache.org and every mirror. Use the project description from README.md verbatim, so the announcement and the README stay consistent. "Spreadsheet files" also covers XLS, XLSX and CSV, unlike the narrower "Excel files". Both the English file and the Chinese translation are updated; the sentence stays in English in the Chinese file because it is part of the mail template. --- website/community/release/release-version.md | 2 +- .../current/release/release-version.md | 2 +- 2 files changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/website/community/release/release-version.md b/website/community/release/release-version.md index d5a3520fe..6800df550 100644 --- a/website/community/release/release-version.md +++ b/website/community/release/release-version.md @@ -709,7 +709,7 @@ Hello everyone, The Apache Fesod(Incubating) ${RELEASE_VERSION} has been released! -Apache Fesod is an easy-to-use, high-performance, open source distributed transaction solution. +Apache Fesod (Incubating) is a high-performance and memory-efficient Java library for reading and writing spreadsheet files, designed to simplify development and ensure reliability.
