Analyzing the position over time graph of 6 volts applied to the hytorc motor gets us this graph:

More specifically, we see at the very start that the motor virtually doesn't move and then begins after around 30 ms:

This indicates that there is a noticeable delay with our system. The delay could be in delivering the voltage to the motor, reading the motor data (stemming possibly from low encoder resolution), etc. It would be nice to know the main sources causing this delay.
