[QUESTION] Integrating With External Claude Code

I typically set up my Claude Code instance to run in a tmux window next to my Neovim instance. Is it possible to integrate this plugin with an external Claude Code process like this? It'd be great to have some of the features of this plugin without running Claude Code inside of Neovim.

Hey @LandonSchropp, thanks for opening this issue.

It is possible to integrate with an externally running Claude Code instance.

You can use the none terminal provider to make the plugin a no-op in Neovim, and only spin up the WebSocket server.
You then have to take care of launching CC and connecting it to the IDE yourself (with, e.g., claude --ide or launching claude and then selecting the IDE using the /ide command):

Alternatively, if you want to get a bit more automated, you can use the external command provider. Then you'd have to specify a command that would launch your Claude Code instance outside of NeoVim.
