Find out whether var can be removed from Judaism community JS file

Following a comment on a pull request, can we test to find out whether the usages of var in public/assets/community/judaism.js can be safely replaced with let or const?

This is being raised specifically for the usages of var t on lines 154 and 168, but ideally other usages of var would also be considered for replacement.
