difference between solver and solver_name

I tried to find all relevant documentation, but I think there is no description on the difference of parameters solver and solver_name in call to Model(name='', sense='MIN', solver_name='', solver=None).

Where to put the path of external solvers?

For solver_name, you provide a str, such as "HiGHS", or mip.HIGHS, and the solver interface will be created for you.

For solver, you actually pass an object of the solver interface, eg, an instance of mip.Solver.
