[Bug] Search placeholder becomes invisible when input receives focus

Current Behavior

The search field background becomes white and the placeholder text disappears (or becomes unreadable), making the input appear empty.

Expected Behavior

The placeholder text (e.g., "Search this site...") should remain visible or have sufficient contrast when the search field receives focus.

Steps To Reproduce

Open the website.
Locate the search bar.
Click/tap on the search bar.
Observe the input field.

@coder3101 dear maintainer, since this issue occurs on landing page, it impacts a large number of users. The disappearing placeholder creates a confusing UX and should be addressed with high priority. let me know if I should start working on this and fix it asap .
