How can one reload staged buffer diffview window?

When performing diffview, how to reload (refresh) the staged (left) diffview?
In fugitive, it is possible by simply re-reading using :e[dit]

You should be able to press R in the file panel to trigger the refresh_files() action. Alternatively you can map your own key for require("diffview.actions").refresh_files().

But note that if nothing has actually changed in the git index (i.e., you haven't run git add or git reset), the buffer content won't be reloaded. So it doesn't exactly work in the same way as fugitive (which force-reloads the buffer unconditionally).
