Python Training for the DEVELOP program.

Setup Instructions

  1. Download and install Anaconda for Windows 32-Bit (Python 2.7)
  2. Do not make it your default Python (possible conflicts with other Python versions or if using arcPy).
  3. After installing Anaconda, copy C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.x\Lib\site-packages\Desktop10.x.pth to (replace username here) C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Continuum\Anaconda2\Lib\site_packages\. Note that AppData is a hidden folder, so you must either enable Windows Explorer to show hidden folders or type in the path by hand to the navigation bar of Windows Explorer.
  4. Start -> All Programs -> Anaconda 2 (32-Bit) -> Anaconda Prompt
