Pushing to entire/checkpoints/v1 triggers GitHub "recent pushes" banner

Problem

Every time Entire pushes checkpoint data to the entire/checkpoints/v1 branch on the remote, GitHub shows a "recent pushes" banner on the repository page suggesting to "Compare & pull request" for that branch. See https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/35200

Expected behavior

Pushing checkpoint data should not cause distracting banners on the GitHub repo page. Ideally the checkpoint branch could skip automatic remote pushes (opt-in remote sync)

as @reteps linked this is not something we can fix, we also looked before if there is some possibility to hide certain branches but it's not something GitHub supports at the moment (see linked discussion).

Regarding:

I can see adding an opt-out but the whole idea is to push the checkpoints/session to the remote repo so other contributors can see it and it's also what the Web UI needs to show / render session logs. Doing that as opt-in would just complicate things in other ways.
