Unable to import users

Steps to reproduce the issue

Export users from Joomla 3.8 with J2XML3.7.
Install J2XML3.9 or 3.10
Import previously exported users to another install of Joomla at version 5.03 from local file

Expected result

Imported users to appear in the Manage->Users list

Actual result

An error message that actually does not contain the error itself but a wrapped representation of the left sidebar admin menu only showing the "Toggle menu" icon. Under the error message, the rest of the Upload Data File page of the J2XML component.

System information (as much as possible)

The Joomla 3.8 install is a completely clean install from a QNAP app package and a local MariaDB. The user data in this 3.8 install comes from a Joomla 2.5.11 install and data seems fine.
Joomla 2.5 exported the users to Joomla 3.8 with J2XML 3.3.153.237.

Joomla 5.03 (Bitnami Lightsail install) reports the following system informations:
DB: 11.2.3-MariaDB
PHP: 8.1.27
Webserver: Apache with fpm-fcgi
Joomla! 5.0.3 Stable [ Kuboresha ] 20-February-2024 16:00 GMT
Enabled (classes_aliases:"1", es5_assets:"1")
