Hello, I would like to ask how do I select crop parameters when my study area is global? In particular, I want to study global rape cultivation, but rape is divided into spring rape, winter rape, etc., they need different parameters. Can I only take a subregional approach? I wonder how GAEZ handled it when he was doing global crops. Thank you very much!

Swun' here. For this case, obviously GAEZ considers all rape LUTs (both spring rape and winter rape) at the same time for the crop simulation to and select the LUT with maximum yield amongst the list of considered LUTs as outputs.

PyAEZ, however, handles only one crop type for crop simulation which means you need to simulate multiple LUTs of rape. Note that for global extent to simulate, it requires sufficient computation capacity and time to simulate. If there's limitation in computation capacity, going for sub-regional level makes perfect sense.
