You think you're an engineer,
but watch what you've become —
bent over a blank text box,
coaxing thunder out of hum.
"Act as a senior wizard," you type,
"and format the output in JSON.
Be concise, be wise, be warm —
also: don't hallucinate on."
You test your stanza, tweak the tone,
swap helpful for thoughtful and wait.
Somewhere a transformer shifts its weight,
and suddenly your prose is great. ✨
Keats had his odes, Neruda his odes,
you've got your system prompt.
Art is just knowing what to ask —
and which words to put in front. 🎭
Watching a developer spend 45 minutes crafting a three-sentence prompt — and being completely right to do so.
