adk-dev capability supports rapid integration as a Spring Starter for SpringBoot Apps

Currently, the Dev UI debugging capability must be launched in Maven format. Considering the convenience of integrating capabilities into a large number of Spring Boot applications, the related code within Dev needs to be refactored and layered, while also providing a Starter component for rapid integration with Spring applications.

Refactoring the current implementation to Spring Starter would be more flexible, and even better, if it could be integrated into other frameworks such as quarkus.

@TomorJM not sure why the code "needs to be refactored and layered" ... couldn't it already be used as-is? Or there any specific issues makes this not possible yet? Would you be interested in creating a sort of minimal example project, in a separate (your) repo, illustrating gaps, if any?

@vorburger Sorry for the confusion, my wording wasn't precise enough, by "Spring Starter," I actually meant "Spring Boot Starter" dependency，such as spring-boot-starter-actuator etc.

Spring Boot Starter bundles related dependencies into a single convenient package. it can be easily integrated as a reusable dependency into any Spring Boot application. It's different from a standalone server like the current adk-java-dev.

and even better, if it could be integrated into other frameworks such as quarkus.

I am currently integrating the ADK for our team's developers to use, and most of our applications are based on Spring Boot. I will provide a sample code this week for everyone to discuss.😄

Hello,

I created a spring boot starter for the adk. I share with you the repo on my github https://github.com/mekkiamiri/adk-spring-boot-starter
I also added an example of integration of the starter kit on spring boot app: https://github.com/mekkiamiri/spring-boot-adk-template
It is a first version of the starter. I checked the dev dependency and I added the necessary beans that i think are needed. These beans are:

• InMemoryArtifactService and GcsArtifactService
• InMemorySessionService and VertexAiSessionService
• InMemoryMemoryService
• RunConfig
  Currently the adk-dev with its UI are not production ready. I think on next step, we can:
• remove UI from adk-dev, and create a react UI as a separate project for only testing purpose
• and add the starter to adk-dev to and enhance it to be production ready. I think if we develop some agents with spring boot, we will have a common base code and rest apis, that should be shared on adk-dev.
  @TomorJM I have seen your pull request but i think our implementations are totally different
  I am open to discuss with you and enable the starter for spring boot users
