SDK Doesn't work with New Architecture on iOS #3

i have noticed an issue while upgrading my helpshift version from 10.3 version to 10.4.

My RN version 0.74 version and Helpshift 10.4.0 . When i do pod-install it is getting failed with error

UnsupportedModulePropertyParserError: Module NativeHelpshiftPluginSdkxReactNative: TypeScript interfaces extending TurboModule must only contain 'FunctionTypeAnnotation's. Property 'helpshiftEvents' refers to a 'TSTypeReference'.

Note:

After upgrading to 10.4 Android works fine without any issues

I have to created a patch file like below to make it work temporarily. but require a permanent fix from the library itself instead of patch. Can someone look into this

@saikirannani123, I do not recommend the above patch, because the helpshift event APIs might not work.

1. Option 1: Upgrade React Native to ≥ 0.76 (Preferred, if feasible)

• React Native 0.76 and above correctly handles this plugin with New Architecture enabled
• Tested and verified on RN 0.76 and 0.78
• No changes are required in the Helpshift plugin
• This keeps TurboModules/Fabric enabled and aligns with the latest RN architecture

2. Option 2: Apply Patch to Remove codegenConfig (For RN < 0.76) [The patch is only sanity tested, Please retest all features on your end]

• For projects using RN < 0.76, New Architecture codegen fails when the plugin declares codegenConfig
• A patch-package patch removes the codegenConfig field from the plugin’s package.json
• This prevents RN from running TurboModule/Fabric codegen and forces the plugin to be treated as a legacy NativeModule

How it works:
Without codegenConfig, React Native skips New Architecture codegen for this plugin and falls back to the legacy bridge, restoring build stability while keeping runtime behavior unchanged.

We fix it in our next release 10.5.0
