I've noticed there are really any docs and the readme doesn't matchup all that well with the code anymore. I'd love to volunteer to maintain this repo and get it back to a working order.

@OmgImAlexis, traditionally, maintainers have been added to the org after their first PR land and there is still interest to keep contributing. Let's start with PRs for now, if you don't mind.
