From b62701e7dc3ce24a283d10060ac07aba4d2b3d3b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Omry Yadan Date: Wed, 28 Oct 2026 20:12:05 +0800 Subject: [PATCH] [node-maintenance-repair/8.1.1] Prepare and seal initial normal-audit evidence on a script-free producer with complete policy enrollment and exact preserved-code reuse Prepare normal Node audit evidence on a fresh runner and seal it before project scripts run. Validate the exact prepared dependency and Node declaration files on a separate runner, with the producer's concrete Node and package-manager versions. Keep original advisory evidence in the existing report artifact. Bind it to the trusted producer's native job Check notice and immutable artifact ID/digests, verify those bindings before publication, and retain exact locators in commit metadata. Preserve the existing renderer and reject missing, ambiguous, expired or mismatched evidence. Cumulative repair consumption, repaired-candidate publication and installation rollout remain later slices. The isolated demo must prove distinct-run readback and sibling-job forgery rejection before dependent work starts. Validation: 1,505 Python tests, Ruff lint/format and Pyrefly pass. Complete authored production growth is 594 lines against the 600-line boundary. Hosted provider acceptance is recorded separately. --- .github/workflows/node-audit.yml | 61 +- .github/workflows/node-maintenance.yml | 4 + .github/workflows/node-publish.yml | 6 + docs/node-maintenance-operator.md | 42 + docs/node-maintenance.md | 2 + node/audit/action.yml | 65 +- node/caller.yml | 2 + node/coordinated-caller.yml | 2 + node/publish/action.yml | 3 + node/publish/publish.sh | 11 +- node/runtime/fleet.py | 4 + node/runtime/templates/dependency_audit.py | 468 +++++++- node/tests/test_dependency_audit_publisher.py | 1029 +++++++++++++++++ node/tests/test_fleet_setup.py | 26 + node/tests/test_integration_contract.py | 7 +- node/tests/test_selected_repairs.py | 69 +- repair-app/pilot/README.md | 27 + 17 files changed, 1799 insertions(+), 29 deletions(-) diff --git a/.github/workflows/node-audit.yml b/.github/workflows/node-audit.yml index 2ad5275..9644b73 100644 --- a/.github/workflows/node-audit.yml +++ b/.github/workflows/node-audit.yml @@ -24,7 +24,7 @@ name: Node dependency audit outputs: validation_passed: description: Whether candidate validation passed. - Keep App credentials in operator storage and Worker secrets. Keep verification receipts outside the repository, without credentials or webhook payloads. A local test or dry-run bundle does not replace live delivery evidence. + +## Sealed normal-audit evidence + +The normal audit producer prepares dependency changes on a fresh read-only +runner. It disables lifecycle scripts, local/global pnpmfile hooks and dependency +materialization. Its parser installer runs in Python isolated mode. Project +validation runs later on another read-only runner with the exact prepared files. +That runner can retain check diagnostics; it cannot replace the producer artifact. +A failed proposal check still permits a PR report with failed validation. A +committed-state validation run fails when its project checks fail. + +The existing `dependency-audit-pr.md` report includes one bounded canonical +version1 record with original audit advisories, severities, links, package rows, +before/candidate dependency hashes and deduplicated counts. After the report +upload succeeds, the producer emits one `Node audit evidence v1` notice on its +existing Actions job Check. The notice binds the numeric artifact ID and archive +and content SHA256 hashes. It requires no Checks write permission. + +The normal publisher resolves the expected producer job in the exact current +run, then verifies its server-derived Check URL, immutable workflow revision, +completed seal steps, unique matching annotation and immutable artifact digest. +The provider run, job, Check and artifact heads must agree on the triggering +revision. The sealed checkout revision is checked separately against the planned +audit revision, which can advance before the coordinated planning checkout. +It rejects sibling-job notices, duplicate/ambiguous producer jobs, expired or +altered artifacts and mismatched project/dependency state. Native commit trailers +retain exact run/job/Check/artifact IDs and hashes for the later read-only repair +consumer. Editable PR prose is not historical audit authority. +The immutable artifact retains the canonical record while the human PR body omits +that opaque record. + +Only the publisher reads Actions metadata/artifacts and Check annotations; grant +`actions: read` and `checks: read` to its calling job and any publisher App token. +The producer and project-validation jobs keep Contents read only. The isolated +pilot must provide these read grants. Both supported caller templates include +them, and fleet setup checks require them. Updating callers in existing +repositories and the installation rollout remain later delivery work. + +Before the cumulative repair consumer begins, verify a distinct-run hosted +readback against the reviewed source and prove a sibling-job forgery rejects. +Local API fixtures do not satisfy that hosted gate. Missing or expired history +must never be reported as an empty original advisory list. diff --git a/docs/node-maintenance.md b/docs/node-maintenance.md index 4d1fd31..8ca5045 100644 ---
