VS2026 not found

Visual Studio 2026 installs in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\18, but mbuild is looking for C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\2026.

Thanks for the report!
MBUILD only supported the default directory installation of Visual Studio 2026 which was changed from 18 to 2026 hence you got that error.
We currently enabled more flexibility where you can specify the exact path to the Visual Studio directory (allowing custom paths such as /18/) via the --toolchain-vs knob, which is only enabled with the ms compiler and a specified version (18).
The use of this build flag also means that you cannot use the regular --toolchain knob.
This should be available with the next release
