How to suppress, edit, or change message 'Displaying rows 1 thru n of m'

I am writing an app to publicise the program and discuss meetings of our local 'Philosophy in Pubs' group. We are all British pensioners. Many of do not understand the American English expression 'thro to'. I would like to either abandon it or translate it. 'thro to' is one of those American English phrases that bugs us older British English. Apart from this I would like to thank you for a very useful tutorial.

Brian What is the text that you would like to see in that area? I'm not sure I could convince Massimo that a change is needed but I could look at making that flexible.

I have written a patch to py4web/utils/grid.py. which I hope will do what I need (and enable me to use the grid for a display on my home page). I have added another parameter to the Grid object. I don't think Massimo will accept something that modifies the grid signature (but, he decides, not me). Instead I'd look at adding your new parameter to the grid.param list.

I now suspect there is no need to alter anything in the web4py code. It looks as if I may be able to use translations (T) to achieve at least some of the desired affect. Any hints on this would be apprecated.
